Membership & Operational Rules

Any East District club affiliated to Scottish Athletics is eligible to compete. Only first claim members of these clubs who are members of Scottish Athletics may compete. Any club wishing to compete who is not already a member of the League should contact the League Secretary Alex Jackson at alex@runningresults.co.uk

Each club or school that competes in the League has its own club number. In all races athletes wear that club number. Club numbers are listed here.

Masters athletes should add a large "V" to their club number, U20s a large "J" and U18 Women a large "L".

Results

Club Managers should submit results by filling in the columns for each race in finishing order in the Excel template found here. The results should then be emailed to alex@runningresults.co.uk preferably on same same day as the race or the morning after at the latest. Recording slips are no longer being used. Clubs may use multiple versions of the template where different age groups are being filled in by different people. These may be sent separately but only when the results for each age group is complete.

There is no need to enter or declare on the day. At the end of the season each club or school pays subscriptions based on the number of finishers in all races through the season.

Provisional Results will be posted on the League website as soon as possible after the event. The first wave of results will contain the team scores and individual finishing times that are taken from the recording sheets. That allows team managers to view the relative positions of the teams. The second wave of results can only be calculated when the team individual names in finishing order are received.

Changes may be requested by contacting the League Secretary up to midnight on the Wednesday following the event when the results will become final.

Constitution

The Constitution of the League may be found here. It was approved by the EDL Meeting on 17th May 2017.
